Rene Audet, PT, MPT

Homecare is not René’s only experience in PT. For several years, she was a traveling physical therapist with three-month tenures at different facilities across the country, including time spent in San Francisco, Chicago and New Orleans – to name a few. Beyond exploring the country and working in various types of PT facilities, she gained much more. The ability to learn new systems and protocols while adapting to cultural differences professionally and geographically is something not taught in school and René uses this experience in treating the “whole” patient.

Born and raised in South Jersey, René initially considered medical school before making the shift to physical therapy and she never looked back. This was solidified by her mentor, a clinical educator turned employer who not only provided skilled guidance but also showed the fun side of PT. This career choice also is one that allows René to make a difference, recognizing it is not possible to know what others are experiencing and step one to help is being kind. This is something she instills in her two daughters, who are an inspiration for each day.

René has countless interests outside of work, spending time with family, friends and summers at the Jersey shore. A former softball player, she is often on the sidelines watching her daughter play. Also, she believes in giving back to the community and supports the Down Syndrome Association of Southern New Jersey – formerly KIIDS – near and dear to her heart and co-founded by her best friend.
