Physical Therapist, Titleist Performance Institute Certified
Dr. Tyler Huggins, PT, DPT
In his pursuit to helping others reach their full potential, on and off the field, Dr. Huggins is committed to continuing education and training. Most recently, he received Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 Certification. As a leading educational organization that studies how one’s body functions in relation to the golf swing, TPI amassed a comprehensive technical database that includes 3D motion, force, strength, power, movement and other data collected from golfers at every level of the sport. The findings were used to discover the most efficient way to swing a golf club alongside how physical limitations can affect it and cause potential injury. Already one who embraces the importance of personalized care with compassion, with this certification Dr. Huggins brings TPI’s Body-Swing Connection and its innovative approach to individualized treatment to Davis PTSR. He views this new certification furthers his ability to treat the person as a whole rather than just for their ailment or injury.
Dr. Huggins went to the University of Scranton, where he pursued his DPT while playing on the golf team before becoming the team’s assistant coach. To this day, he remains an avid golfer, with Pinehurst #2 and Bethpage Black being his favorite courses! When not treating patients or playing 18 holes, Dr. Huggins can be found down the shore, surfing, hiking or spending time with his family and dog.
“It’s hard to beat a person who never gives up.”
